Jesse Cole, accomplished Financier and CEO of Haute Hippie, is a born and bred New Yorker. He grew up in Manhattan, attending the prestigious Trinity School and New York Military Academy at West Point, before earning his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and his Masters of Science from Columbia University.

After graduate school, Jesse joined ISI Group, the number one ranked “think-tank,” where he worked under renowned economist Ed Hyman. He then moved to Pali Capital before starting his own Financial services company, Schonfeld IBS. His business grew into a multi-million-dollar company, and this success followed him to Merlin Institutional, where he created and managed their trading department as a senior partner. Merlin Institutional was sold to Wells Fargo in 2012 after much success, and Jesse then joined Haute Hippie as the newly-appointed CEO. Jesse brings to Haute Hippie the strong Financial background necessary to ensure company growth, foster new business development, attract and retain top tier talent, and expand Haute Hippie to an international lifestyle brand. As Chairman of the Board of Associates and most recently Member of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House, he will also continue his steadfast commitment to philanthropy.


Michael A. Karsch is the founder of the investment consulting firm KCM Consulting, LLC. Prior to founding KCM Consulting, LLC, Mr. Karsch spent 13 years as the portfolio manager of Karsch Capital Management, LP, a global long/short equity investment management firm he founded in 2000. Mr. Karsch also spent time as a Managing Director at Soros Fund Management and was one of four investment professionals at Chieftain Capital Management. Mr. Karsch began his career as an investment banking analyst at Wasserstein Perella & Co. Mr. Karsch graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. from Tufts University in 1990. He obtained his Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in 1991 and obtained his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1995.

Michael Karsch joined the Board of Directors of juice press, LLC in 2012, after buying out its co-founder. Since then, the store base has grown from to 19 stores.

She has established herself as a trusted style source for many actors, recording artists and celebrity clients. People have come to Lisa Kline from all over the country and world to get the hottest trends, latest brands and coolest clothing in the marketplace.

Lisa’s expertise in fashion has been showcased on television shows like MTV, VH1, TV Guide Network, E! News and she appeared as 1 of 4 panel judges on the popular TV Show, Launch my Line. Additionally Lisa has lectured at major universities including CSUN, USC, FIDM and Woodbury.

Recently Lisa was invited to speak on a panel for Cotton, Inc., she hosted the 50th Annual Woodbury University Fashion Show and judged the Raw Artists Awards.

Now as a consultant, Lisa continues to build brands with her 20+ years of retail and design experience. Be it retailers or wholesalers, Lisa’s vast knowledge of the industry makes her an expert in all things fashion related.


Having been part of highly successful companies like Oracle, Sybase, Walt Disney Company and Ziff Publications, Ann brings a diverse and seasoned background to help companies navigate digital marketing channels. Clients have included such reputable brands as Walgreens, Best Buy, Hyatt Hotels, American Airlines, McDonalds and Macys.

Her experience includes launching new media products (traditional and digital), introducing and integrating technology to improve ROI and digital efficiency, planning and executing mobile and social marketing strategies, and measuring digital investments accurately.

In her present position, as a leading digital marketing agency, Digital Fusion helps clients increase sales, save money and build competitive advantage. We fuse mobile, social media and digital marketing with traditional advertising tactics to optimize the customer journey.


Scott Lachut is the Director of Research and Strategy for PSFK Labs, working with a team of global researchers to provide leading companies with insights on the trends and innovation that are shaping the marketplace from both a consumer and business standpoint. He oversaw the first project that debuted the Future Of Retail series four years ago.


Ann’s background is in the editorial side of fashion – she was Assistant to the Creative Director of Vogue, Fashion Editor at Glamour, and an editorial contributor and stylist at J. Crew. She is now the Chief Creative Officer of Mashburn, LLC — a men’s and women’s shop and full clothing line with brick-and-mortar locations in Atlanta and Houston, as well as an e-commerce site. They are already at work on their third US location. In 2012, the Ann Mashburn website was named among InStyle Magazine’s Best of the Web.


Sid began at J.Crew, which he helped bring from $70M to $200M in 5 years, and designed the $10M per annum Barn Jacket. He was recruited by Ralph Lauren himself to begin Rugby, then was VP of Design at Tommy Hilfiger. Later as SVP of Design he helped lead Lands’ End from $1.2B to $2B in 6 years. He is now the Chairman of Mashburn, LLC — a men’s and women’s shop and full clothing line with brick-and-mortar locations in Atlanta and Houston, as well as an e-commerce site. They are already at work on their third US location. Sid was named among GQ’s 10 Most Stylish Men in America, and the shop has been ranked as one of GQ’s 25 Best Men’s Stores.


Having created deals valued at nearly $10B over the past 15 years, Moses’ work is often referred to as the cornerstone of the branded-entertainment industry – bridging the gap between Madison Ave and Hollywood.

After quickly rising through the ranks of Grey Advertising as the company’s youngest President, Moses founded United Entertainment Group (UEG) as a joint venture with Hollywood powerhouse United Talent Agency in 2007. Under his leadership, UEG creates entertainment marketing platforms for dozens of Fortune 500 companies including Procter & Gamble, Frito-Lay, General Mills and Coca-Cola while at the same time working closely with the world’s most influential entertainment entities including NBC Universal, Warner Bros., Facebook, The Walt Disney Company and Twitter. Moses’ most notable work includes the creation of the hit television show “America’s Next Top Model,” the launch of the WB Television Network and the production of the Fox Searchlight motion picture “Just Wright” for which he was nominated for a BET Award. Moses’ work has been featured on CNN, Bloomberg Television and FOX Business News. Moses is also a member of the Board of the Hamptons International Film Festival, and a co-founder of the NY Comedy Festival.


At PSFK Labs Welsey Robison has lead the publishing of two of their most successful reports, The Future of Work and The Future of Retail 2014, as well as many bespoke trends-led innovation programs for clients in and across the retail realm. Previously he was exposed to ‘undercover’ lifestyle research at legendary Crispin Porter Bogusky, as COG (cognitive researcher). He studied sociology at UC Boulder, and speaks Japanese and Spanish.


Charles Terry Shook, FAIA, is a founding partner and principal of Shook Kelley, a Perception Design firm specializing in strategic consulting services, including branding, architecture, communication design and interior design. Mr. Shook serves as principal-in-charge of a multi-million-dollar New Urban planning and design group, with an emphasis on urban retail design and main street development. As one of the nation’s top experts in district planning and Placemarking, he has been recognized as a vanguard in the movement to return meaning to the urban environment.

Mr. Shook is an annual lecturer in the Professional Development Program at Harvard University and speaks regularly for the Urban Land Institute on topics relating to urban design. He is a member of the International Downtown Association and the Urban Land Institute, and was recently elevated to the College of Fellows, the highest honor given by the American Institute of Architects.


Michael is a Managing Director at William Blair & Company and leads the firm’s efforts in Specialty Retail Investment Banking. Michael has over 15 years of experience advising high-growth retailers with mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and initial public offerings. Michael’s specific areas of focus are food retail, softlines/apparel and specialty retail.

Michael earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS, with Honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Michael and his family reside in Chicago.


Terry S. Brown is Chief Executive Officer of EDENS, one of the nation’s leading private owners, operators and developers of retail real estate. Brown joined EDENS as CEO in 2002. Today, the company is distinguished by the connectivity of its centers to their communities as well as by its investment grade quality balance sheet and unique corporate culture. Also under Brown’s leadership, EDENS has established marketplace leadership positions in sustainability practices, technology and management training.

Before joining EDENS, Brown was Chief Executive Officer of Andersen Corporate Finance LLC where he was responsible for strategy and investment banking activities on a global basis across the real estate, manufacturing, technology, services and energy industries. Prior to joining Andersen, he was a U.S. Army Officer.

Brown is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a former Trustee and Executive Committee member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and was a member of the Inaugural Class of the Liberty Fellowship, a leadership initiative sponsored by the Aspen Institute. Additionally, Brown serves on the Board of Directors of EDENS, Consolidated Systems Inc., NBSC, a division of Synovus Bank, the University of Georgia Foundation and the Opus Corporation. Brown is also a member of the Palmetto Business Forum and was named as a 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Award winner and National Finalist.

Brown is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.


Jodie W. McLean is President and Chief Investment Officer of EDENS, one of the leading private retail real estate companies in the nation. For 20 years, she has been a key player in the company’s growth and expansion to its current marketplace leadership. McLean is passionate about retail and its vital importance in enhancing and building the life of communities.

McLean joined EDENS as a financial analyst. She was named Chief Investment Officer in 1997, and in 2002 she was named President. In 1997 McLean was instrumental in securing the first major infusion of investment capital in EDENS with a $150 million commitment from the State of Michigan Retirement System. The following year she led strategic financial initiatives resulting in capital commitments from New York State Teachers’ Retirement System and JP Morgan Investment Management, Inc. Overall she has run point on development, redevelopment and acquisition of more than $6 billion in retail assets.

A native of Chicago IL, McLean holds a BS degree in Finance and Management from the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina and a degree from South Carolina Honors College.
